BGC Etiquette

We get to ride in some wild places at BGC, public, precious and private — and that’s not an accident. It’s an event built on access, trust, and goodwill. We ask that you respect the land, respect locals, and respect every road — Ride like you want to be welcomed back.

Philosophy

Whilst we acknowledge that people on bikes, at events, love to compete, Saturday’s big gravel dance is a strictly podium free affair.

This means there is no timing.

It’s a place for every one of you to revel in the glory of participation, of overcoming challenges, of pushing yourselves as much or as little as you like. It’s a place for connection, fun and frivolity!

We pride ourselves on championing diversity and inclusion and above all, providing an exceptional (and fun!) experience for YOU no matter where you are on your gravel journey.

Where to stay

We’ve teamed up with our friends Beechworth Football and Netball Club to activate Baarmutha Park as an official camping zone for The Beechworth Granite classic weekend.

Just over 1km from the centre of town. It's a short roll from the weekend's events.

Sites will go on sale in the New Year.

Campsites on sale soon

Beechworth has accommodation available to suit all budgets. All within a walk / short ride from the event.

In the case that town is at capacity (which will happen!) there are a plethora of accommodation options in surrounding towns.
